All-new Avante

BUSAN, Korea - April 29, 2010: Hyundai Motor Co. had its world-premier of the all-new Avante compact sedan, the company's best-selling model worldwide, at the Busan International Motor Show 2010 today. (Outside of Korea the Avante is known as Elantra) "The new Avante encompasses Hyundai's latest ambitions, featuring the best styling and performance in its class," Steve S. Yang, President & CEO of Hyundai's Global Business Division, said at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) today. "We're confident that it will once again redefine the compact segment worldwide.".

2011 Hyundai Elantra Unveiled

BUSAN, South Korea — Hyundai unveiled its redesigned Avante compact here at the 2010 Busan Auto Show. Its best-selling model worldwide, the new Avante — sold in global markets as the Elantra — will feature the company's 1.6-liter Gamma gasoline direct-injection four-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. The new sedan is expected to arrive in the U.S. later this year, badged as the 2011 Elantra.

The British Motor Show is go! As Auto Express exclusively reported last week, organisers of the Goodwood Festival of Speed have officially confirmed plans to resurrect the British event. What’s more, visitors will actually be able to drive a selection of new cars on a specially constructed course.

Auto show ready to roll.
Some notable car brands will be absent from the 2010 Tulsa International Auto Show this weekend, including Chevrolet, BMW and Volkswagen. After recently relinquishing the title of the world's top car seller, General Motors and subsidiary Chevrolet are only traveling to the country's largest exhibitions this year, said Charles Tabor, organizer of the Tulsa International Auto Show.
